Our Story Starts back in 1931, when 2 young apprentices Stanley Bull and Felix Hodgins lost their jobs at an engineering firm that was destroyed in the February Earthquake. They joined forces to start their own engineering and supply store...."Bull and Hodgins".

They ran a busy small shop with a blacksmith forge, repairing and making farm machinery and other items for the farming communities around Hastings. The forge made and sold basic engineers nuts and bolts and other components for land engaging equipment working throughout Hawkes Bay. Into the 80's and 90's they were well known for selling the 'hard to find' fasteners. In 2009 Bull and Hodgins closed and changed ownership. B&H Trade supplies and distribution took over the extensive range and moved it from the small shop on Hastings main street to a larger premises in the industrial area, to further expand the range and stockholdings. Since then it has been rebranded to Fasttrade, selling Fasteners, Tools, Engineering Supplies, Workshop Equipment, Rigging and Transport, and Consumables throughout all of New Zealand; using our many decades of purchasing pipelines. We are a 100% family owned New Zealand Business still based in Hastings, Hawkes Bay.
